Unity Opto receives LED orders from Innolux

Taiwan-based LED maker Unity Opto Technology has received orders from Innolux Display and another company in Northeast Asia for 100,000 7-inch LED backlight units (BLUs) each per month, according to the Chinese-language newspaper Commercial Times.
BLUs are expected to account for 20% of Unity Opto revenues next year, as 7-inch LED BLUs will see their market penetration rate rise to 30-40% from the current 10-15%, the paper added.
