Unity Opto lands Vista optical mouse orders, to supply LED backlight for Dell notebooks, says paper

Unity Opto Technology has landed the first batch of optical mouse orders for the Windows Vista operating system and will package Chi Mei Optoelectronics LED backlight to be used in Dell notebooks, according to the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN).
Company chairman CH Wu confirmed the optical mouse order but declined to comment on the CMO orders but indicated that LED backlight will be the major sales driving force for its business this year, the paper said.
Unity Opto will purchase chips from Formosa Epitaxy and Toyota Gosei and ship packaged chips to CMO and Chi Lin Technology, an affiliate of CMO, the paper reported.
